THE CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER

"Inside Politics": Minor Breakthrough

By Joe Hallett October 25, 1998

While Republican Bob Taft and Democrat Lee Fisher were wrestling to a draw in the first televised gubernatorial debate Thursday night, there was a clear winner. Zanna Feitler, an independent representing the Natural Law Party, levitated herself into the hearts of many Ohioans.

"Hey, this is fun. Let's do it again," Feitler beamed after the 90-minute debate at the University of Toledo. Her performance got rave reviews in Friday-morning newspapers across the state.
